This course is designed for previous students of mine who are wanting to learn further and dive deeper into a specific subject matter in glassblowing! 

The topic for this course will be about flow. How can you become apart of the technique of glassblowing. Include your body in the awareness of glassblowing. Where are your hands when you’re turning the pipe. How is your breathing while you’re gathering glass out of the furnace. What is it about your planned sketch that you want to see come to fruition. What is realistic and what is not when you’re in a state of mindfulness! 

You will each have a drawn out object in a sketchbook. This object will be what you will focus on making through out the 4 weeks and how we can make your plan come to fruition! 

Other ongoing aspects you will be learning in your course:

• Safety in the hot shop

• How to properly use the tools and equipment

• Team building (how to help each other)

• Punty making

• Timing of heats and work time at the bench

• Color applications

• Problem solving
