Harvesting The Wind is about my exploration with the elemental understanding of Air.

I have always had a hard time connecting with this element. It is the very element that keeps us alive on this planet, but learning to breathe and embracing the wind that runs through our lives has been a challenge.

Through the process of glassblowing, wind plays a huge part in helping to cool hot glass in moments of need when making a particular form. When I pull hot molten glass in a fast motion it becomes stringlike and reminds me of what it is like to harvest herbs from the garden. And so I realized I was harvesting the air, the wind and therefore starting to embrace the element.
